Objects of the ordinary are a series of images which inspired me to write a position paper on my approach to Landscape design. The approach outlines my inspiration for painting and how recently I have noticed a shift form natural Landscapes to Landscapes with human intervention. I have become increasingly interested with objects which show evidence of mankind's mark on the land and in particular our need for power. Intrigued with pylons, power stations, railways and other mechanical creations which now dominate our Landscape. I have started documenting them in a series of photographs which in turn will inform a painting series for an upcoming group exhibition in January.
